All canon printers will let the user use remanufactured or refilled cartridges. \u00a0But there is a trick required by the user to reset or bypass the error that will come up. \u00a0Please note, the error may not come up right away when a cartridge is installed.<\/p>\n

So first you simply install the cartridge into the printer as normal, go ahead and print something and when the time comes a window will popup and you must follow the instructions. \u00a0Stop, DO NOT CANCEL the print job<\/strong>. \u00a0Usually at this point most people will read the first part and automatically click the ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’,\u00a0DO NOT CLICK ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’<\/strong>. \u00a0If you keep reading the instructions it will tell you that if you want to continue you must press and hold a button on your printer for a few seconds. \u00a0Usually but not always is the “Stop\/Reset” button, simply press and hold this button for up to 10-15 seconds. \u00a0Also remember if you change both cartridges you will need to repeat the same procedure again. \u00a0So 2 times. \u00a0Your printer will sound like it doing something, that’s it.<\/p>\n
